Sharon Silverman has been a freelance writer, primarily travel and crocheting, since 1987. She is the author of twelve books including Basic Crocheting, Beyond Basic Crocheting, and Tunisian Crochet: The Look of Knitting with the Ease of Crocheting.

Sharon designs for leading yarn companies, as well as for her books and private line of patterns. She has been a featured guest on “Uncommon Threads,” HGTV’s fibert arts program. A Crochet Guild of America (CGOA) professional member and a design member of The National NeedleArts Association (TNNA), Sharon is known for her fashionable designs and crystal-clear instructions. Her classes consistently receive top ratings at venues large and small.
